Larry Allen, CEO and chairman of Lubbock-based Peoples Bank, announced that Kevin Petty, Seminole market president, has been appointed to the bank’s board of directors. Petty was instrumental in launching the Seminole branch and has led the team there since its opening in 2019.
A Dimmitt native, Petty earned a bachelor’s degree in ag economics from Texas Tech University. He has been in banking for 30 years and is very involved in the Seminole community. He serves as president of the Seminole Economic Development Corp. and previously served two terms on the Seminole ISD board of trustees.
Established in 1968 as Lorenzo State Bank and operating as Peoples Bank since 1999 (led by investors Larry Allen and Todd McKee), the bank has 12 locations serving West Texas, North Central Texas and the Panhandle.
