Origin Bank Hires Parra as Director of Business Development in Houston

September 15, 2021

Fernando ParraFernando D. Parra has joined the Houston banking team of Choudrant, Louisiana-based Origin Bank to serve as director of business development. He will assist in the bank’s growth and development in Houston as well as other markets. Parra brings more than 40 years of banking experience to his new role, having previously been involved in growing banks, building departments and creating products, as well as managing branches and groups of lenders as part of the executive management team for several other Houston-area banks. Most recently, he served as chief lending officer at Post Oak Bank.

“Fernando’s expertise as a senior banking executive will help us expand our products and services to further meet the needs of our loyal customers,” says Carmen Jordan, Houston regional president.

Parra earned his BBA degree from the University of Houston.

Established in 1900, Origin Bank operates more than 40 banking centers in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, North Louisiana and Central Mississippi.
