Origin Bank Expands Houston Commerical Leadership Team with Mendez and Wolfe

Greg MendezChoudrant, Louisiana-based Origin Bank has announced the hiring of Greg Mendez and Rachel Wolfe as commercial group managers serving the Houston region. Both join the company as regional executive vice presidents and will work at the bank’s Memorial City Financial Center in Houston.

Mendez brings 20 years of banking experience, specializing in commercial and industrial lending across multiple industry sectors with a focus on the middle market. He has a successful track record of building and leading commercial banking teams across multiple industries while developing strong client relationships. Mendez earned a BA degree from the University of Texas–Austin and an MBA degree from the University of Houston.

Rachel WolfeWolfe also brings 20 years of banking experience and has held a variety of leadership roles throughout her career, including leading teams of relationship managers and portfolio managers, a position as a senior credit officer and roles in syndicated finance and credit underwriting and analysis. Her background includes middle-market banking across multiple industry sectors, with extensive experience in commercial and industrial lending, as well as commercial real estate loans. Wolfe earned both a BBA degree and a BA degree from the University of Texas–Austin. A native Houstonian, she is involved in the community through organizations such as Dress for Success Houston.

Established in 1912, Origin Bank operates more than 55 locations in Dallas/Fort Worth, East Texas, Houston, North Louisiana, Mississippi, South Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
