North Dallas Bank & Trust Co. (NDBT) is expanding its community service efforts with an increased focus on NDBT Cares, its primary service organization. In conjunction with the new direction, Lisa Rushing, a 19-year banking professional, has been promoted to director of community engagement and will lead the emphasis on elevating the overall impact of the bank’s resource investment supporting the communities served. She will identify service opportunities for North Dallas Bank & Trust to expand its reach across its business footprint, while connecting bank professionals to participate where most needed within the company’s communities. Rushing has managed the NDBT Cares program for the past year, while also serving as a corporate business development officer. She began her career at North Dallas Bank & Trust as a teller, followed by roles in personal banking and lending.
“Community service has always been at the core of who we are as a community bank,” says Larry Miller, president and CEO. “Creating a more dedicated, manageable and measurable approach to our focus and effort allows us to better engage and serve our communities. Lisa’s passion and knowledge of our business, culture and communities create a perfect fit to lead this initiative.”
NDBT Cares was formed in 2019 to create a more formalized and strategic approach to the bank’s service efforts. Last year, the bank’s community engagement through NDBT Cares produced more than 130 service hours from its banking professionals with pledged donations in excess of $487,000 benefiting approximately 80 organizations.
