Tracy Harris, president and CEO of La Grange-based National Bank & Trust, recently announced that Kimberly Rhodes has been promoted to assistant controller. Rhodes previously served as operations specialist. In her new position, she will be responsible for supporting the chief financial officer with all accounting-related functions at the bank, assist with financial audits and manage the bookkeeping/accounting department. Before joining National Bank & Trust in 2020 as an operations specialist, Rhodes was an accounting manager in a non-banking industry.
Rhodes earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas State University. She is an active member of the Leadership Division of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas. Additionally, she volunteers as a coach for La Grange Optimist Club and La Grange Little League, and is a member of the media team at church.
“Utilizing my time as an operations specialist, coupled with my accounting knowledge, I’m prepared to make a positive impact on the financial department at National Bank & Trust,” Rhodes says.
Established in 1888, National Bank & Trust is a full-service bank with total assets of more than $234 million as of March 31.
