Tracy Harris, president and CEO of La Grange-based National Bank & Trust, recently announced several promotions.
Jennifer Schattle, CIA, has been promoted to assistant vice president, BSA/AML officer and assistant compliance officer. She previously served as compliance specialist. As BSA/AML officer, she is responsible for the implementation and administration of all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act compliance program. As the assistant compliance officer, she assists in the execution of the bank’s compliance program by performing regulatory compliance reviews that test and monitor the compliance with banking laws and regulations. Having received her Internal Audit Certification (CIA) in March 2022, she is responsible for performing objective, independent monitoring and reliable assessments of operation functions and compliance with banking laws and regulations.
Schattle joined the banking industry in August 2020, having previously worked in the electric power industry. She holds a BS degree in journalism from Texas A&M University. She has also completed the Project Management Gold Seal Certificate Program at the University of Texas–Austin and the Bank Operations Institute (level 1). Active in her industry and community, Schattle serves as a member of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas Leadership Division and as a board member of the La Grange Chamber of Commerce (2022–25).
Kimberly Rhodes has been promoted to assistant vice president. She serves as the bank’s assistant controller. She is responsible for all accounting-related functions at the bank, assists with financial audits and manages the bookkeeping/accounting department. Before joining National Bank & Trust in 2020 as an operations specialist, Rhodes was an accounting manager in a non-banking industry.
Rhodes earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas State University. She is an active member of the Texas Bankers Association and was recently named a key member for region 10 of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas Leadership Division. Additionally, she volunteers as a coach for La Grange Optimist Club and La Grange Little League and is a member of the media team at church.
Sandra Martinez has been promoted to assistant vice president, having previously served as a lender. Her duties will continue to focus on mortgage lending, as well as consumer and commercial lending. Prior to joining National Bank & Trust, Martinez worked as a teller/personal banker at First National Bank, call center representative at State Bank, assistant vice president/loan processor at Roscoe State Bank and assistant vice president/mortgage lender, consumer and commercial lender at Fayetteville Bank.
