National Bank & Trust Elects Corker Chairman of the Board

August 11, 2020

La Grange-based National Bank & Trust–Texas recently announced that Michael Corker has been elected chairman of the board. Corker has served as a director for National Bank & Trust since 2001. He and his wife Lisa have owned Hart Land Real Estate for more than 30 years.

“Michael’s experience and commitment to La Grange and its surrounding communities is a true asset to NBT. We’re lucky to have him on our board of directors,” says Tracy Harris, president and CEO.

In 2019, Corker received his certified community bank director designation from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He holds a BBA degree from Loyola College. As a licensed Realtor and local business owner, Corker has served on numerous boards since moving to La Grange in 1993, including as president of Fayette Memorial Hospital Foundation; St. Mark’s Medical Center Foundation president since 2005; and board member of the St. Mark’s Medical Center since 2017.  He has been actively involved in numerous organizations, including La Grange Rotary, La Grange Main Street Board, La Grange Chamber of Commerce and Fayette County Tourism Association to name a few.

Established in 1888, National Bank & Trust has two locations in La Grange.
