Marshall Promoted to West Texas Area Chairman at Prosperity Bank

Mike MarshallEl Campo-based Prosperity Bank has appointed Mike Marshall West Texas area chairman. He has 31 years of banking experience and has been with Prosperity Bank for 22 years. Marshall oversees 34 banking centers across West Texas and serves on the bank’s management committee, West Texas loan concurrence committee and 401k committee. In addition, he chairs the bank’s energy loan committee.

Marshall began his banking career with Prosperity Bank (formally American State Bank) in 2000 as a Permian Basin regional executive. Three years later, he was promoted to executive vice president and appointed to the bank’s board of directors. In 2012, Marshall was named West Texas area president.

A native of Lubbock, Marshall earned his BBA degree and an MBA degree in finance from Texas Tech University. He serves as a founding member on the advisory council for the Excellence in Banking Program at the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University.

Established in 1983, Prosperity Bank operates 272 locations: 65 in the Houston area, 30 in South Texas, 62 in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, 22 in East Texas, 29 in Central Texas, 34 in West Texas, 16 in the Bryan/College Station area, six in Central Oklahoma and eight in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, area.
