Legend Bank Hires Butler for Commercial Lending in Sherman and Denison

Ben ButlerBen Butler has joined Bowie-based Legend Bank as vice president/commercial lender. He will serve customers in the bank’s Sherman and Denison markets.

Butler brings more than nine years of experience in banking. Prior to joining Legend Bank, he was a mortgage loan officer at Be My Neighbor Mortgage in Denison and before that served as vice president/loan officer at Heritage Land Bank. Earlier in his career, he was a commercial lending officer at American National Bank of Texas in Greenville.

Butler holds a BS degree in social studies and an MBA degree in finance, both from Howard Payne University. He currently serves on the Main Street advisory board for the City of Greenville and as an ambassador for the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of Rotary International.

“Ben’s connection to the Sherman and Denison areas, combined with his expertise in lending, will be a valuable asset to Legend Bank as we continue to expand in Grayson and surrounding counties,” says Matt Brown, executive vice president/east regional president. “He understands the importance of community banking and providing ‘Legendary’ service to customers.”

Established in 1890, Legend Bank operates 15 banking offices in Fort Worth and North Texas.
