Leerskov Hired for Business Development at Community National Bank & Trust of Texas

December 4, 2020

Leslie LeerskovRusty Hitt, CEO of Corsicana-based Community National Bank & Trust, recently announced the addition of Leslie Leerskov as vice president of business development. Heading up a new department at the bank, she will grow new business and provide service recommendations to aid existing customers. She has held positions with Kerens ISD, Raymond James Financial and LPL Financial Services. Most recently, Leerskov served as the director of the Small-Business Development Center at Navarro College. She is a certified economic development finance professional, business development specialist, certified business incubator manager and former small-business owner with a passion for entrepreneurship.

A Navarro county native, Leerskov earned a BBA degree in finance from the University of Texas–Tyler. Active in her community, she served as chair of the Navarro County Chamber of Commerce in 2019 and was also co-chair of the organization’s finance committee. She is also a board member for the North Central Texas Economic Development District and Greater East Texas Capital Corp.

“Leslie’s outstanding work ethic and people skills are going to be extraordinary assets for the bank,” Hitt says. “Adding a business development officer will be a game-changer for our loan officers and our organization as a whole. We’re excited to get started on the new opportunities Leslie is bringing to CNB&T.”

Established in 1960, Community National Bank & Trust employs more than 185 Texans at 14 locations across the state. The bank has been named one of Texas Monthly’s “Best Companies to Work for in Texas.”
