Kansas City, Missouri-based UMB Bank announced a new hire and promotion within its private wealth management division. The company operates three banking offices in Texas.
Bob Harris has been hired as the director of planning and practice development. He succeeds and reports to Ben Skilling who was recently promoted to director of sales and delivery. Harris has more than 25 years of industry experience in both a leadership and wealth advisor capacity. Most recently, he was with Creative Planning as a private wealth manager. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading and executing the financial planning strategy for private wealth management, growing and scaling the financial planning services, expanding the breadth of financial advice and supporting the growth of business-exit-planning services.
Skilling is now responsible for the strategy and execution of private wealth management’s practice teams. The teams deliver financial planning and wealth management solutions to clients across the bank’s footprint. He joined UMB Bank in 2021 and has more than 20 years of experience in wealth management.
