TEXAS BANKING NEWS, PEOPLE AND IDEAS

President | Worthington National Bank | Downtown Fort Worth, Texas

January 11, 2022

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the location. Other duties include analyzing loan applications; making loans; monitoring and servicing existing loan customers; making credit decisions; collecting on loans; and marketing the bank’s services and products.

College degree in accounting, finance or business is required. Must have a minimum of five years lending experience in the Fort Worth/Tarrant County market. Knowledge of applicable federal/state laws, regulations, bank policies and procedures is essential. Skills needed in this role are analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and the ability to multi-task within a limited time frame. Computer skills should include Microsoft Office and Excel software. Good organizational, interpersonal, communications and customer relations skills are required. Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for working in a demanding environment, accurately performing tasks and handling frequent interruptions.

Supervises Loan Officers, Lending Assistants and other location employees; oversees loan closing activities performed by Lending Assistant; answers questions and provides guidance on loan documentation issues.

Determines whether to approve or deny loan applications; grants loans based upon loan policy; answers customer questions; resolves problems and complaints; makes overdraft decisions; and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures.
