Assistant Director of Credit Risk Consulting | TIB, N.A. | Farmers Branch, Texas

MAJOR DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Serves as daily operations manager for credit risk consulting program.
  • Acts as supervisor for a team of credit risk consultants and administrative support staff.
  • Coordinates daily team operations, including routine engagement scheduling, resource allocation, and team scheduling.
  • Ensures quality assurance in team members’ work, maximizing consistency and excellence in client deliverables.
  • Serves as a point of escalation for client relationship management.
  • Identifies personnel opportunities, participating in recruitment, interviewing and hiring as needed.
  • Retains key clients and solicits new business to meet growth goals through preparation, review, and/or approval of bids and contracts.
  • Supports annual budget process; implements departmental resource utilization and strategies.
  • Subject matter expert, supporting consultations for high visibility and/or more complex partner relationships.
  • Compiles and presents well-defined recommendations regarding client credit management practices through a deep comprehension of client needs and effective application of credit management expertise.
  • Stays highly informed of the current credit environment and specific industry concerns through continued education, research, and interaction with peers.
  • Complies with all banking laws and regulations, and maintains the confidentiality of bank and customer information.

REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Expert knowledge of commercial credit concepts and collateral requirements for security attachment, perfection and valuation.
  • Expert knowledge of loan underwriting, administration, and risk rating systems
  • Fundamental knowledge of loan loss accounting requirements
  • Fundamental knowledge of banking regulations related to credit risk management and loan loss reserves.
  • Demonstrated success in supervising high-performing team(s)
  • Possesses good interpersonal skills, the ability to work within a team environment, and strong leadership skills
  • Excels at multi-tasking in dynamic environment
  • Software: Microsoft Office suite

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5-10 years of commercial credit management, loan review, or examination experience.
