Henderson-based VeraBank has announced that Joel Jackson is now senior executive vice president, chief lending officer and regional chair of the bank’s Southeast region.
Jackson has more than 23 years of experience with a focus on commercial banking. He started his career in East Texas, working his way through various leadership positions at community banks before moving to College Station in 2012. Prior to his most recent promotion, Jackson served as senior vice president and regional president at VeraBank.
Jackson holds a BS degree in agricultural systems management from Texas A&M University–College Station, as well as an MBA degree from Texas A&M University–Texarkana. He also attended numerous commercial banking courses throughout his career and remains active within various trade associations.
