Independent Bankers Association of Texas Elects 2026–27 Leadership Division Executive Committee

July 2, 2026

The Leadership Division of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) elected new executive committee members to its board during the 41st Annual Connecting Leaders Conference, held in June at the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock. Founded in 1985, the IBAT Leadership Division is dedicated to the development of tomorrow’s leaders in community banking.

The IBAT Leadership Division’s executive committee will be led by Zach Gilbert, vice president of commercial lending at Texas Bank and Trust in Tyler. Other officers named to guide the executive committee include:

  • Chair-Elect Brad Womack, market president and chief experience officer at Kleberg Bank in Kingsville;
  • Secretary/Treasurer Breanne Prestage-Granberg, president at TXN Bank in Hondo;
  • Immediate Past Chair Sarah Long, vice president at First National Bank of Ballinger; and
  • Associate Member Executive Committee Advisor: Brett Murphy, audit partner, partner-in-charge of the financial institutions industry and Austin market president at Whitley Penn LLP.

The IBAT Leadership Division is divided into 13 regions, each of which hosts education and networking events for community bankers in the area throughout the year. Each region has its own president, who also serves as the region’s board member.
