IBAT Leadership Division Announces 2024–25 Board of Directors

August 1, 2024

The conclusion of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas’ (IBAT) 39th Annual Connecting Leaders Conference, held June 26–29 in San Antonio, marks the beginning of a new year for the IBAT Leadership Division, and with that comes the election of a new board of directors. Bankers Digest recently reported on the new Leadership Division executive committee members; the list below is a roster of the entire leadership of the group.

Founded in 1985, the IBAT Leadership Division is dedicated to the development of tomorrow’s leaders in community banking. The group is divided into 13 regions, each of which hosts education and networking events for community bankers in the area throughout the year. Each region has its own president, who also serves as the region’s board member.

IBAT Leadership Division 2024–25 Executive Committee

  • Chair: Rick Jamieson, First State Bank, Gainesville
  • Chair-Elect: Sarah Long, First National Bank, Ballinger
  • Secretary/Treasurer: Zach Gilbert, Texas Bank and Trust, Tyler
  • Immediate Past Chair: Matt Crable, Texas First Bank, Pearland

Formed in 1974, the Independent Bankers Association of Texas represents Texas community banks. The Austin-based group is the largest state community banking organization in the nation, with membership comprised of more than 4,600 banks and branches in 700 Texas communities.
