Guaranty Bank & Trust Promotes Brown to Austin Area Chairman and Executive Officer

Travis BrownTravis Brown has been promoted to Austin area chairman/executive officer for Mount Pleasant-based Guaranty Bank & Trust. A third-generation Austinite, he has more than 17 years of commercial banking experience in Central Texas, working with a variety of businesses, investors and industries.

Brown earned his BBA degree with honors from St. Edwards University in Austin after honorably serving as an infantryman in the U.S. Marine Corps. He then earned his MBA degree from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas–Austin. Continuing his education, he has completed extensive training in global cash flow lending, tax return analysis, real estate and construction lending, commercial loan structuring, business cash flow analysis, and financial statement analysis, among other continuing education programs. Brown is active in various community and charitable organizations, including Dell Children’s Trust & Council. He has also served with the Real Estate Council of Austin, Austin Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Austin, Austin Young Chamber of Commerce and Young Texan Society.

“Our organization has an amazing history with a strong culture that has stayed true as we have grown in size and locations across the state of Texas,” Brown says. “This is attributed to the dedication and leadership of the management of our organization through the generations of Guaranty Bank & Trust. I greatly appreciate the trust and confidence to continue this legacy of our organization into the future.”

Established in 1913, Guaranty Bank & Trust NA operates 32 locations across 26 Texas communities within the East Texas, Dallas/Fort Worth, greater Houston and Central Texas regions of the state.
