Corpus Christi-based American Bank has hired Jennifer Grove to join its private banking team as senior private banking officer and commercial lender. She will be responsible for serving the lending, deposit and financial services needs of private banking clients throughout the Corpus Christi area, as well as supporting the needs of her commercial lending clients. Grove will office at the bank’s Uptown Corpus Christi branch. Making the announcement was Rose Royce Huegele, private banking manager and senior commercial lending officer.
“Jennifer’s extensive experience as a private banker and commercial lender will strengthen our team and benefit our clients,” Huegele says. “She has deep roots in Corpus Christi and offers a responsive, client-first approach to private banking. This aligns perfectly with American Bank’s philosophy and values.”
Grove joins American Bank with nearly 15 years of banking experience, most recently serving as private client services manager at Kleberg Bank in Corpus Christi. In this role, she had responsibility for business development and client retention, including oversight of private banking, treasury management and personal banking. Prior to that, Grove spent eight years with Frost Bank working in a variety of retail and client-facing roles, including treasury management and personal banking.
Grove holds a BSBA degree from Texas A&M University–Commerce. She is active in the community, currently volunteering in leadership roles with the Art Museum of South Texas. In addition, she has served with Habitat for Humanity, the American Diabetes Association and Gulf Coast Humane Society. In 2020, Grove received the Corpus Christi “Under 40” Award, which is presented to acknowledge the work of individuals making a difference in the Coastal Bend.
