Greer Joins FirstBank & Trust as Vice President of Commercial Lending

August 11, 2022

Josh GreerDavid Green, senior vice president of commercial lending at Lubbock-based FirstBank & Trust, announced the recent hiring of Josh Greer as vice president of commercial lending. Greer will office at the Abilene banking center located at 3910 S. Treadaway Blvd. Throughout his 20-year career, he honed his skills in customer service and relationship management. He made the transition to the banking industry in 2015 and has worked for some well-respected financial institutions in the Abilene area.

“Josh brings years of lending experience to FirstBank & Trust,” Green says. “Combined with his impressive business acumen and intimate knowledge of Abilene, he will be an invaluable resource for our business customers.”

Born and raised in Abilene, Greer earned his bachelor’s degree in communication from Hardin-Simmons University.

Greer currently resides in nearby Buffalo Gap. He volunteers his time as coach for the Jim Ned Little League, serves as vice chair of the Junior Achievement of Abilene board of directors and is treasurer for Ducks Unlimited of Abilene.

Established in 1996, FirstBank & Trust, a subsidiary of Heartland Financial USA Inc., operates 20 locations serving 15 communities in West Texas and the Panhandle.
