Frost Bank Appoints Geddes San Antonio Region President

August 12, 2021

Dan GeddesSan Antonio-based Frost Bank announced on August 9 the appointment of a new San Antonio region president to succeed Marvin Rickabaugh, who will retire at the end of this year. Dan Geddes, the sales manager in Frost Bank’s Houston region commercial real estate group, has been appointed the new region president and will work with Rickabaugh through the transition.

Besides his duties as sales manager, Geddes has been overseeing Frost Bank’s successful 25-branch expansion in the Houston region since it was announced in 2018. Despite the disruptions caused by the pandemic, the new locations have surpassed the bank’s projections for deposits, loans and new households, and set the tone for Frost Bank’s upcoming expansion in the Dallas region. In addition, Geddes has been instrumental in helping businesses secure loans through the Paycheck Protection Program.

“Dan has been with Frost Bank since 1997, and like Marvin, started as a credit analyst and quickly moved into leadership positions,” says Phillip Green, chair and CEO. “We’re happy to welcome Dan into his new position, and we all join in thanking Marvin for his service to Frost as a region president in both Austin and San Antonio. He helped to strengthen our markets and helped develop the careers of countless Frost bankers.”

Established in 1868, Frost Bank serves the Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Permian Basin, Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio regions.
