Coral Gables, Florida-based Amerant Bank has appointed Corey Frost Powell senior vice president/head of private client group. He is responsible for ensuring that the bank’s strategic vision and business objectives are met within wealth management services in the Houston market, while also providing tailored financial solutions and personalized services to high-net-worth clients.
“His vast experience in private banking, proven track record of successful leadership and extensive market knowledge make him the ideal leader for our team in this key market,” says Howard Levine, senior executive vice president/head of consumer banking. “We are confident that under his guidance, our team’s services will be further elevated as we commit to fostering growth, relationships and our presence in the Greater Houston area.”
Powell previously served as senior vice president/private client advisor at Bank of America Private Bank. Prior to that, he worked for seven years as senior vice president/banking relationship advisor at The Northern Trust Co., a financial services company.
Powell earned a BBA degree in fiance and accounting from Texas State University. A resident of the Houston suburb of Bellaire, he is an active trustee of the Holocaust Museum Houston.
