First Bank Texas Appoints Seasoned Abilene Community Banker to Board of Directors

April 27, 2026

Stan LambertWeatherford-based First Bank Texas has announced the appointment of Stan Lambert to its board of directors. He brings more than 35 years of experience in community banking, having served in executive leadership roles across Texas, including as president of banks in Abilene, Ennis and Ozona.

Lambert currently serves as state representative for Texas House District 71 in the Texas House of Representatives, representing Taylor, Nolan, Callahan and Jones counties. A graduate of Abilene Christian University, he earned his degree in business before going on to serve as the university’s athletic director from 1995 to 2002. He is also a graduate of the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. His longstanding connection to Abilene and continued commitment to leadership and service have made him a respected figure throughout the region.

“Stan’s deep roots in West Texas, combined with his extensive experience in community banking and public service, make him an outstanding addition to our board,” notes Zan S. Prince, chair. “His insight and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to serve our customers and communities.”

Established in 1880, First Bank Texas serves customers in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and West Texas with 16 banking offices.
