The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has named Jeff Bongiovanni vice president with responsibility for overseeing the regional bank supervision team. In his new role, he takes over a group responsible for a growing portfolio of 11th District state member banks and bank holding companies with assets between $10 billion and $100 billion.
Bongiovanni joined the Dallas Fed in 2016 as a senior examiner on the community banking supervision team and was later named director of examinations for the group. He currently serves as the agency’s representative on the Federal Reserve’s Regional Banking Organizations Management Group and the Small Bank Supervision Workgroup established by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors’ Michelle Bowman. He has participated in the Fed’s system-wide project to transform and strengthen supervision.
Bongiovanni holds a degree in finance from Louisiana State University. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
