The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Heidi Mitchell senior vice president with responsibility for cash services and treasury operations. She will provide oversight of the 11th Federal Reserve District’s cash services, including operations in Dallas, El Paso and Houston. Mitchell will also oversee the bank’s treasury operations department, which supports the Treasury Bureau of Fiscal Services by assisting federal benefit recipients to transfer benefit payments from paper checks to direct deposit.
Mitchell joined the Dallas Fed in 2006 as a bank examiner and held various roles in banking supervision and credit, risk and reserves management. In 2017, she was named assistant vice president and privacy officer and managed the local implementation of the Federal Reserve System’s data privacy framework. In 2019, she was named assistant vice president and assistant general auditor, and later vice president. Prior to her new appointment, Mitchell was vice president of credit, risk and reserves management.
Mitchell holds a BBA degree from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and an MBA degree from Pennsylvania Western University. She has completed executive education courses at Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas serves the 11th District, which encompasses Texas, northern Louisiana and southern New Mexico.
