Castro Joins Texas Regional Bank as Senior Vice President/Wealth Strategist in Houston

Tanya CastroTanya T. Castro has been appointed senior vice president/wealth strategist in the trust and wealth management division at Harlingen-based Texas Regional Bank. She will serve the bank’s Houston area market.

With more than 20 years of experience in trust and estate administration and wealth management, Castro brings a proven track record in developing tailored strategies for high-net-worth clients. Prior to joining Texas Regional Bank, she was a senior vice president/trust business development officer at Cadence Bank NA in Houston. Earlier in her career, Castro served as a trust and estate advisor at Comerica Bank for more than 11 years.

Castro holds a BBA degree in finance from the University of Houston. In addition, she is a certified financial planner, certified trust and financial advisor (American Bankers Association) and accredited estate planner (National Association of Estate Planning Councils). She serves on the advisory board of the nonPareil Institute Houston and is a board member of the Houston Business & Estate Planning Council and the Houston Estate & Financial Forum.

Established in 1987, Texas Regional Bank operates 32 branches in South and Central Texas, the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and the Houston region.
