Burnside Joins PlainsCapital Bank’s Houston Commercial Lending Team

October 15, 2024

Sara Brooke BurnsideDallas-based PlainsCapital Bank has hired Sara Brooke Burnside to serve on its Houston lending team as senior vice president/senior commercial loan officer. She will be based at the bank’s Richmond Ave. location.

“Her extensive experience and proven track record in commercial lending will be a tremendous asset as we continue to expand our services and strengthen client relationships,” says Danny Schroder, chairman of the Houston region.

Burnside brings nearly 20 years of experience in financial services to her new role. Most recently, she served as senior vice president/commercial lender at Bank OZK, for which she managed a complex commercial portfolio. Her background also includes commercial lending and relationship management roles at Comerica Bank, Community Bank of Texas, First Financial Bank, Wells Fargo, Capital One and Wachovia Bank.

Burnside earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas.

Established in 1955, PlainsCapital Bank operates 57 Texas branches in Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio. PlainsCapital Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilltop Holdings.
