Broadway Bank Appoints Timmins Chairman of the Board

April 14, 2022

Rick TimminsSan Antonio-based Broadway Bank announced that Rick Timmins has been elected chairman of the board of directors, effective April 1. The Austin-based business leader has served on the bank’s board since 2017 and is board chair of the Central Texas Angel Network.

“We are honored to have Rick’s leadership as Broadway continues down the path for strategic expansion into new markets in Texas,” CEO David Bohne says. “With his expertise and deep understanding of Broadway’s brand of banking and award-winning employee culture, we’re prepared to strengthen the products and services we offer while expanding our unique banking experience to reach new customers.”

Timmins has more than 40 years of experience in financial management and strategic guidance from two Fortune 100 technology leaders. From 1996 to 2007, he served as vice president and corporate controller of finance at Cisco Systems. Before Cisco, he served as vice president of finance for Motorola and had worldwide financial responsibility for the semiconductor division. He has served on numerous boards for public and private companies, as well as nonprofit boards. Timmins holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in business from St. Edward’s University.

“I’m pleased to take on more responsibilities as board chair and serve alongside a talented group of peers during this period of transformative growth for Broadway Bank,” Timmons says. “Since joining the board of directors, Broadway has modernized the banking experience while continuing to deliver the best-in-class customer service that’s made them stand strong for more than 80 years, and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Timmins succeeds David Ladensohn who continues to serve on the board. Last month, Broadway Bank announced the addition of three new board members. The updates to the board are part of the bank’s strategic expansion in 2022 in Texas beyond South Central and Central Texas.

Established in 1941, Broadway Bank operates financial centers across San Antonio, Austin and the Texas Hill Country.
