Austin Bank Welcomes Myers as Senior Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Risk Officer

Sally MyersSally Myers has joined Jacksonville-based Austin Bank as senior executive vice president and deputy chief risk officer. She will office out of Austin Bank’s Longview Greggton location.

With almost 40 years of banking risk management, compliance and information security resources, Myers has helped start three banks from the ground up, in addition to possessing extensive leadership, risk mitigation, governance and technology implementation skills. She has worked in the area of risk management since 2008 and previously worked for Icon Business Bank in Riverside, California, and Grasshopper Bank NA in New York City.

“Sally comes to us with significant experience and leadership that will help to serve our customers and the Austin Bank team,” says Jeff Austin III, chairman.

Myers earned both a BA degree and MA degree in history from the University of Wisconsin and holds certified regulatory compliance manager and certified enterprise risk professional credentials through the American Bankers Association.

Established in 1900, Austin Bank operates in 36 East Texas locations within 26 cities and 14 counties. Austin Bank is locally owned and operated by the Austin family, which is celebrating 114 years of service in the Texas banking industry.
