Amegy Bank Taps Olson to Manage Mortgage Production in Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex

October 4, 2024

John OlsonJohn Olson has joined Houston-based Amegy Bank as vice president and Dallas/Fort Worth area mortgage production manager. With more than 20 years of banking and finance experience, he will help grow the bank’s North Texas market residential mortgage division.

Olson most recently served as managing director of residential mortgage at Bank Ozk in the Dallas area and, before that, as managing director at Green Brick Mortgage, also in Dallas. His experience has also included stints at First United Bank, Regions Bank, BBVA Compass (now PNC Bank) and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

Olson earned his BBA degree in marketing, management and finance from the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma. Active in the community, he volunteers with Blue Tie Guy, a children’s advocacy center in Rockwall. In 2000, Olson rode a bike across America to raise awareness of, and funds for, children with disabilities as part of The Ability Experience, a philanthropic program by Pi Kappa Phi.

Established in 1990, Amegy Bank, a division of Zions Bancorporation NA, has more than 75 locations across Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth and Central Texas.
