Adams Promoted to Banking Officer at Austin Bank

September 18, 2020

Janice AdamsJanis Adams was recently promoted to banking officer at Jacksonville-based Austin Bank. She has been with the bank since 1990, holding a variety of positions, including bookkeeper, proof operator, teller and safe-deposit clerk. Adams currently oversees the customer service center in the downtown Jacksonville office. Often the first person with whom customers engage when entering the bank, she is known as “Director of First Impressions” by the Austin Bank team. Adams also has been recognized as “Austin Bank Star of the Month” and is a three-time recipient of the bank’s Community Involvement Award.

Adams is involved in numerous community organizations, including Cherokee County Child and Family Services, The Clothes Closet, Jacksonville Education Foundation, Literacy Council, Keep Jacksonville Beautiful, Kiwanis Club, Adopt-a-School program, Salvation Army Angel Tree program and the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.

“Janis is a true professional who is dedicated to giving our customers exceptional service,” says Jeff Austin III, vice chairman of the board.

Established in 1900, Austin Bank has been voted one of the “Best Companies to Work for in Texas” for 12 consecutive years. With assets in excess of $1.9 billion, bank offices are located in 34 East Texas locations within 24 cities and 12 counties.
