Janis Adams was recently promoted to banking officer at Jacksonville-based Austin Bank. She has been with the bank since 1990, holding a variety of positions, including bookkeeper, proof operator, teller and safe-deposit clerk. Adams currently oversees the customer service center in the downtown Jacksonville office. Often the first person with whom customers engage when entering the bank, she is known as “Director of First Impressions” by the Austin Bank team. Adams also has been recognized as “Austin Bank Star of the Month” and is a three-time recipient of the bank’s Community Involvement Award.
Adams is involved in numerous community organizations, including Cherokee County Child and Family Services, The Clothes Closet, Jacksonville Education Foundation, Literacy Council, Keep Jacksonville Beautiful, Kiwanis Club, Adopt-a-School program, Salvation Army Angel Tree program and the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.
