In late November, The National Bank of Texas at Fort Worth announced a new hire and a promotion.
José I. Duron has joined the bank as executive vice president and chief lending officer. He comes to The National Bank of Texas with more than 27 years of banking experience—20 of those years in commercial lending, specifically in Tarrant County. Duron previously worked at Plains Capital Bank where he served as senior vice president and commercial loan officer since 2010. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a BS degree in agricultural economics.
The National Bank of Texas has promoted Jeff Day to first vice president and commercial loan officer. Prior to transitioning to a lender role, he spent a year as a credit analyst at the bank underwriting loans, analyzing financial statements and working with the lending team in addition to working with both the officers’ and directors’ loan committees. Prior to joining The National Bank of Texas and the banking industry, Day worked in commercial real estate as a broker and leasing agent. He was with Centra Partners LLC in Fort Worth for 13 years where he focused on representing clients in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of office, industrial, retail and multifamily real estate assets throughout Texas. Day earned his BBA degree from Baylor University and is a certified commercial investment member (CCIM).
Established in 1973, The National Bank of Texas at Fort Worth operates banking offices in Fort Worth, Azle, Burleson and Hurst.
