Yoakum National Bank Promotes Morkovsky to Controller, Baranowski to COO

October 26, 2020

Yoakum-based Yoakum National Bank recently announced the promotion of two team members.

Sandra Morkovsky has been named vice president/controller. Additional duties include bank compliance and audit, and she also serves as the bank’s BSA officer. Morkovsky has worked at Yoakum National Bank since 1998, previously responsible for the bank’s non-traditional deposit office through NFA Wealth Management. She attended Texas Tech University before earning a BBA degree in accounting from the University of Houston–Victoria. She is active with Saints Cyril and Methodious Catholic Church in Shiner.

Tina Baranowski was named vice president/chief operations officer. She also oversees the customer care center and is responsible for business continuity and disaster recovery planning in addition to IT, vendor and risk management. She has 16 years of experience at Yoakum National Bank, beginning in its proof department. Along with husband, Jeff, she is involved with their children’s youth rodeo associations.

Established in 1890, Yoakum National Bank remains independently owned and operated serving communities in DeWitt and Lavaca counties and beyond.
