VeraBank’s Dominguez Recognized as Finalist in ‘Austin Under 40’ Awards

Aaron D. DominguezAaron D. Dominguez, senior vice president/Round Rock market president at Henderson-based VeraBank, has been recognized as a finalist in the “Austin Under 40” Awards. More than 2,000 Austin-area professionals were nominated and the top five finalists in each of 16 business categories were recognized at the 23rd Annual Austin Under 40 Awards Gala on February 26. Dominguez was selected as a top-five finalist in the financial and insurance services award category.

“Aaron is an exceptional banker and an even better person,” says Brad Tidwell, VeraBank president and CEO. “We are proud to have Aaron on the VeraBank leadership team and excited for him to have his strong work—in banking and the community—recognized with this prestigious honor.”

Dominguez has spent nearly 19 years in banking, developing significant experience in commercial lending and management. He serves as treasurer for the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, as well as a member of the finance committee of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and the Round Rock Planning and Zoning Commission. A strong advocate of commercial real estate growth, Dominguez is actively involved in the Real Estate Council of Austin and the Central Texas Commercial Association of Realtors. He also volunteers his time with the Round Rock Baseball League, where he serves on the board of directors and as a coach for his four sons.

“I was thrilled to spend an evening surrounded by such passionate and esteemed leaders in our community,” Dominguez says. “Given the vast number of talented professionals in banking, it was truly an honor to be recognized as one of the top five finalists.”

The Young Women’s Alliance and Young Men’s Business League partner to host the annual black-tie gala to honor Austin’s young professionals making an impact in the community. All proceeds raised support the Young Women’s Alliance Foundation and Austin Sunshine Camps.

Established in 1930, VeraBank is a privately owned community bank that serves 16 counties in East, Central and Southeast Texas with a network of 38 branches, $3.7 billion in assets and trust assets under management of approximately $950 million.
