Henderson-based VeraBank recently announced two new hires for its banking offices in Temple and Longview.
Patrick Carney has joined the bank as vice president/commercial lending at the Temple branch. He previously served at BancorpSouth Bank for seven years, three as a commercial lender. He chose VeraBank because of its atmosphere and inviting environment.
“Patrick has a great deal of experience in commercial lending, and he’ll serve as a terrific resource for our Temple team,” says Jonathan Voight, senior vice president/regional manager.
“He cares deeply for his community, which is very important to us,” says Brad Tidwell, president and CEO. “Patrick will work to grow our footprint in the Belton/Temple area of Bell County.”
Angie Baker has been hired to serve on VeraBank’s business banking team in Longview as assistant vice president/treasury management officer. She has worked in the banking industry for more than 19 years, including as a capture operator, teller and customer service representative. She has served as a branch manager for the past nine years. Active in her community, Baker serves on the executive board for The Great Texas Balloon Race.
“Our business customers are really going to enjoy working with Angie,” Tidwell says. “She’s going to ensure they have the financial services and resources they need to operate efficiently and be successful.”
“She brings management experience and a significant amount of business banking knowledge to her role,” says Michael Purifoy, senior vice president of business banking.
Established in 1930, VeraBank serves 16 counties in East, Central and Southeast Texas with more than 500 employees.
