Vantage Bank Taps Martinez to Lead Brownsville Market

Alex MartinezIn June, San Antonio-based Vantage Bank announced the appointment of Alejandro “Alex” Martinez as its new Brownsville market president. With more than 24 years of experience in commercial banking, sales and marketing—including 22 years serving Cameron County—he will lead the bank’s efforts throughout the Brownsville region.

Martinez holds a bachelor’s degree in international marketing from Universidad de Monterrey. He is a dedicated community leader and the past chairman of the board for the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce.

“His extensive banking expertise and the value he brings to the Brownsville market enable us to actively support the incredible momentum of the growing local economy,” says George Cardenas, regional president.

Established in 1923, Vantage Bank has 23 banking offices across Texas.
