In July, Fort Worth-based The National Bank of Texas announced numerous promotions and new hires.
Jason Ballou has been promoted to the Fort Worth market president. He has been with the bank since 2018 and formerly served as credit analyst, loan office and senior credit officer. Ballou has 13 years of banking experience.
Sarah Hicks has been promoted to assistant vice president/assistant branch manager at the Azle branch. She has been with the bank since 2012, serving in several positions, including personal banker prior to this promotion.
Carissa Widner has been promoted to first vice president/private concierge banker officing out of the Azle branch. She started her banking career in 1996, joined the National Bank of Texas in 2010 and has more than 24 years of experience in bank operations, management and lending. Widner is deeply rooted in her community, serving as past president and member of the Azle Lions Club, as well as councilwoman for the City of Sanctuary for the past six years.
Patricia Swaim has been promoted to assistant vice president/assistant branch manager at the Burleson branch. She has 39 years of banking experience and has been with the National Bank of Texas since 2010. She started in bookkeeping and has served as a personal banker and loan assistant.
Paula Miller has been promoted to vice president/branch manager at the Burleson branch. She has been with the National Bank of Texas since 2002 and in banking for 34 years. She has served in various customer service and supervisor positions, including personal banker, teller, customer service manager, new accounts and lobby supervisor.
Misty Harris has been promoted to vice president/loan officer at the Burleson branch. She has been with the bank since 2012 and has been in the banking industry for 26 years, serving in various positions of loan administration.
Scott Anderson has joined the bank as first vice president/loan officer at the Burleson branch. He has 38 years of banking experience, most recently as senior vice president/relationship officer in the business banking group/commercial group at UMB. Anderson holds a BS degree in general business, economics and communications from the University of Texas–Arlington. He is also a graduate of the National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma.
Mary Garcia has been promoted to vice president/loan operations manager. She has been with the bank since 2010, serving and managing loan operations.
Shauna McKiel has been promoted to assistant vice president/assistant loan department manager. She has been with the bank since 2017, originally serving as a loan processor. She started her banking career in 1999.
Shauna Gheen has joined the bank as vice president/loan officer and is in charge of the SBA program at the bank. She has more than 30 years of banking experience in community and commercial banking with a focus on financial analysis, lending and operations. Gheen earned a BBA degree in finance from Texas Tech University.
Craig Gilmore has been promoted to assistant vice president/systems administrator. He has been with the bank since 2016 and is an essential officer in the IT department.
Karen Lindner has joined the bank as vice president/HR manager. She has 39 years of banking experience in community banks, serving in human resources, operations, training, deposit compliance and BSA.
Elizabeth R. “Lisa” Powers has joined the bank as assistant vice president/credit analyst. She has been in banking for several years and has served in other accounting and analyst positions. Powers earned her BBA degree in finance from the University of North Texas.
George D. “Rett” Everett has joined the bank as executive vice president/chief credit officer. He earned a BBA degree in finance from Tarleton State University and an MBA degree in general business from Texas Tech University. Everett has been in banking and lending/risk management for more than 20 years.
