The Bank of Austin Hires Sanchez and Elliott for Business Banking

April 12, 2023

On April 5, The Bank of Austin announced two new hires for its business banking team.

John SanchezJohn Sanchez has joined The Bank of Austin as senior vice president/business banking manager. With more than 25 years of business banking experience, he will nurture long-term business relationships in the Austin community and build financial solutions with his clients for continued growth.

Prior to The Bank of Austin, Sanchez was a Central Texas business banker at Capital One Bank and, prior to that, First United Bank. Sanchez earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. Active in the Austin community, he serves on the board and finance committee of the Central Texas Food Bank and coached youth sports teams for more than two decades.

Tommy ElliottTommy Elliott has joined the bank as vice president/business banking relationship manager. With his extensive business banking experience, he will partner with Austin entrepreneurs to grow through the bank’s comprehensive financial solutions.

Prior to The Bank of Austin, Elliott was a business banker in Austin for PNC Bank, BBVA Compass, First National 1870 and Comerica Bank. Elliott attended Southwest Texas State University and remains actively involved with the Susan G. Komen of Central and East Texas.

Established in 2017, The Bank of Austin the bank merged with Texas Hill Country Bank and The Bank of San Antonio to form Texas Partners Bank last October, although the banks continue to operate under their original names as members of Texas Partners Bank. Texas Partners Bank operates 10 branches in Central Texas.
