TexasBank Hires Vargas as Chief Digital Officer, Martin as Senior Vice President of Retail and Deposit Operations

Greg Dodds, president and CEO of Brownwood-based TexasBank has announced the hiring of Tony Vargas to serve as senior vice president and chief digital officer and Stephanie Martin to serve as senior vice president of retail and deposit operations.

Tony VargasVargas joins TexasBank with more than 25 years of experience in banking technology and operations. Raised in Kansas City and educated in Madrid, Spain, he combines training as a systems engineer with a global perspective. In addition to his education in Spain, he is a graduate of the SW Graduate School of Banking at SMU. Vargas is also a certified project management professional.

“Stephanie and Tony are the perfect fit for our senior management team,” Dodds says. “Stephanie brings a wealth of retail expertise to our growing branch network while Tony will provide direct oversight of all our digital platforms while building out our treasury management product portfolio.”

Stephanie MartinMartin has had a successful 25-year banking career, excelling in providing strategic leadership and oversight to high-performing teams. She has successfully led teams through core conversion projects while significantly improving account and digital banking platforms. Martin is also a champion of talent development and has promoted numerous team members into leadership roles, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.

Established in 1966, TexasBank operates 19 branches in Central and North Texas, including the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
