Texas Regional Bank Welcomes Gervais as Wealth Management Advisor

Woodmir GervaisHarlingen-based Texas Regional Bank has hired Woodmir Gervais to serve as vice president and wealth management advisor. He has more than 15 years of financial services experience and a distinguished career in corporate banking and military service.

Gervais’s career trajectory has led him through prominent roles with major financial institutions, working across retail, business and commercial banking. His role as vice president and relationship manager involved overseeing clients with a focus on business development, credit and treasury management. Gervais is known for his expertise in risk management and client engagement. He also brings to Texas Regional Bank a legacy of military service, having served more than seven years in the U.S. Army Reserves.

“Woodmir joins an exceptionally strong and experienced investment team in the Rio Grande Valley, led by long-tenured executives Bobby Farris, John Tippit, Linda Roberts and Rick Garcia,” notes Trey Willerson, chief investment officer. “His diverse experience, integrity and client-first mentality will allow us to continue to build upon the commitment those leaders have made to our clients in South Texas.”

Born in Brooklyn, New York, spending a significant portion of his childhood in Tampico, Mexico, and later settling in McAllen, Gervais maintains a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and is fluent in Spanish. Having lived in Austin for more than a decade, he now resides in McAllen. Gervais earned a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies in business management and legal studies from the University of Texas–Rio Grande Valley.

Established in 1987, Texas Regional Bank operates 32 branches in South and Central Texas, the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and the Houston region.
