Texas Regional Bank Hires Ehrlich to Lead Kerrville Market

May 28, 2026

James EhrlichHarlingen-based Texas Regional Bank has appointed James Ehrlich market president in Kerrville. He brings more than 30 years of experience in commercial banking, private banking and trust, and commercial real estate. His background includes building and managing multi-million-dollar commercial loan portfolios and overseeing $160 million in private banking and trust assets. That experience is enhanced by decades of work advising clients on complex real estate transactions, including dozens of commercial and land deals across Central Texas.

Most recently, Ehrlich served as president of TexTerra Realty. He guided clients by creating sound, market-driven decisions for long-term investments and best-use scenarios through the acquisition and disposition of real estate assets. His career also includes leadership roles in private client banking, trust management and capital advisory.

“Kerrville is a relationship-driven market, where decisions are made locally and trust is built over time,” Ehrlich notes. “Texas Regional Bank brings the capabilities clients need, delivered through people who are accessible and engaged in the community.”

“James brings a background that complements the needs of clients across the Hill Country,” says Lance Spruiell, Central Texas region president. “He understands how to lead a market, stay connected to the community and work across multiple areas of the bank to deliver practical solutions. That combination is important in a market like Kerrville.”

Ehrlich holds an MBA degree from Texas State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas–Austin. He is a licensed Texas real estate broker. A multi-generation Austinite, he now resides in Kerrville, where he is active in community and professional organizations throughout the region.

Established in 2010, Texas Regional Bank operates more than 35 locations across the Rio Grande Valley, Texas Hill Country, Houston and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
