On March 18, Longview-based Texas Bank and Trust named Susan Williams the 2024 “Employee of the Year” during the bank’s annual employee dinner. This award, determined by the bank’s officers, recognizes an employee who distinctly exhibits the bank’s core values of integrity, excellence, mutual respect, professionalism and joy. The bank has awarded an “Employee of the Year” for almost 50 years, with the first honor bestowed in 1977.
Williams joined the bank in 2000 and has served in the retail division as both a branch services representative and teller supervisor. She currently serves as a retail supervisor in the bank’s downtown Longview drive-through, overseeing the teller operations team and functions of that branch.
Williams attended Kilgore College. Active in the community, she serves on the board of the Longview Child Development Center and is a lifetime member of St. Mark CME Church, for whcih she serves as a stewardess and member of the choir.
