Vorhees Named Treasurer and Executive Vice President at First Financial Bank

May 1, 2025

Jeff VorheesThe board of directors of Abilene-based First Financial Bank has announced the election of Jeff Vorhees to serve as executive vice president and treasurer.

Vorhees most recently served as director of corporate treasury at McKinney-based Independent Financial, a $19 billion public bank. Prior to that, he held positions in asset liability management consulting, investment banking and as a commissioned bank examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

“Jeff’s recent position at a larger bank, as well as his experience as a former bank examiner, will be critical in helping us make strategic balance sheet decisions and meet regulatory expectations as we grow,” says David Bailey, president of First Financial Bankshares.

Vorhees holds bachelor’s degrees in finance and economics from Texas Tech University, an MBA degree from Southern Methodist University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He is also a certified management accountant and a certified treasury professional.

Established in 1889, First Financial Bank operates 79 locations in Texas.
