First United Bank Welcomes Anderson as Lubbock Market President

Drew AndersonDimmitt-based First United Bank has hired Drew C. Anderson to serve as president of the Lubbock market. He will office at the Lubbock-Northwest Banking Center located at 5802 4th St. He joins First United Bank with more than 25 years of experience.

Anderson has served in key roles at First National Bank, Norwest, Wells Fargo and First Bank & Trust. Born and raised in Lubbock, he is a graduate of Abilene Christian University, where he earned a BS degree in accounting. He furthered his education at the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. Anderson actively contributes to the Lubbock community and presently serves as chair of the operations committee for Downtown Civic Park.

“I have known Drew both personally and professionally for more than 20 years and have always admired and respected him as a true banking professional and a tremendous civic leader,” says R. Mark Bain, CEO. “He will be a great fit for First United Bank, and we look forward to his leadership in our organization.”

Established in 1907, First United Bank, a subsidiary of Plains Bancorp, Inc., operates 23 banking centers across 20 West Texas communities.
