Texas Bank and Trust Names Williams ‘Employee of the Year’

April 17, 2025

Susan WilliamsOn March 18, Longview-based Texas Bank and Trust named Susan Williams the 2024 “Employee of the Year” during the bank’s annual employee dinner. This award, determined by the bank’s officers, recognizes an employee who distinctly exhibits the bank’s core values of integrity, excellence, mutual respect, professionalism and joy. The bank has awarded an “Employee of the Year” for almost 50 years, with the first honor bestowed in 1977.

Williams joined the bank in 2000 and has served in the retail division as both a branch services representative and teller supervisor. She currently serves as a retail supervisor in the bank’s downtown Longview drive-through, overseeing the teller operations team and functions of that branch.

Williams attended Kilgore College. Active in the community, she serves on the board of the Longview Child Development Center and is a lifetime member of St. Mark CME Church, for whcih she serves as a stewardess and member of the choir.

“[Williams] has a deep respect for both employees and supervisors and consistently seeks out the best in everyone,” noted Rogers Pope Jr., vice chair and CEO, during the awards presentation. “She embodies the Texas Bank and Trust culture and demonstrates unwavering dedication and loyalty, always speaking positively about others.”

Established in 1958, Texas Bank and Trust operates 21 full-service branches throughout East Texas and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
