Texas Bank and Trust Announces
Officer Promotions in Longview and Tyler Markets

April 30, 2025

Multiple promotions were announced at Longview-based Texas Bank and Trust’s employee awards dinner held March 18 in Longview. Among those recognized were Janet Sledge, Chad Harkey, Lois Collins, Matt McDaniel, Emma Bothwell and Ani Villeda.

Janet Sledge has been promoted to senior vice president/operational risk services and fraud manager in Longview. She joined Texas Bank and Trust in 2003 and served as manager of the bank’s fraud department for more than 20 years. Sledge attended Kilgore College and is a graduate of the inaugural class of Corporate University, the bank’s leadership development program for officers, in 2010. She has been a member of Financial Women in Texas for the past 12 years, for which she serves as membership chair and past president.

Chad Harkey was promoted to senior vice president/Bank Secrecy Act and security officer in Longview. He joined the bank in 2021 and is responsible for coordinating, administering and monitoring bank-wide compliance of the Bank Secrecy Act, among other duties. Harkey holds a BA degree in political science from the University of Texas–Arlington. He has also earned certifications as a fraud examiner (CFE) and anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS), and is a 2013 graduate of Texas Bank and Trust’s Corporate University officer leadership program. Harkey currently serves as vice chair of the planning and zoning commission for the City of Longview and has served as past president of the Longview Greggton Rotary Club.

Lois Collins has been promoted to vice president/information security and compliance analyst in Longview. She has worked in the banking industry for 25 years. She began her career with Texas Bank and Trust in 2005 and currently oversees information technology compliance and policy. Collins holds certifications in banking security management and risk and information systems control (CRISC), and is a graduate of the inaugural class of Corporate University, the bank’s officer leadership program, in 2010. In the community, she serves on the board of directors for Keep Longview Beautiful.

Matt McDaniel is now vice president/commercial lending officer in Longview. He began his career with Texas Bank and Trust in 2019 as a credit analyst. Since transferring to the business and professional banking team, he has served as a portfolio manager and a commercial lender. McDaniel graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in business administration. He was selected to participate in the Texas Bank and Trust 2020 Leadership Class. McDaniel currently serves as treasurer for the Northeast Texas Habitat for Humanity and is a board member with the Longview Boys Baseball Association.

Emma Bothwell was promoted to vice president/real estate risk manager in Tyler. She has been employed by Texas Bank and Trust since 2017 and has held the position of real estate risk manager since 2021. Her responsibilities include the management of the bank’s appraisal, environmental risk and construction draw functions. She holds a BBA degree with a concentration in finance and an MBA degree from the University of Texas–Tyler. Bothwell is also a graduate of the Bank Operations Institute by the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT). She currently serves as vice president of Financial Women in Texas and is a member of both the Junior League of Tyler and the IBAT Leadership Division.

Ani Villeda has been promoted to banking officer/East Texas regional credit analyst manager in Tyler. She joined the bank in 2020 as a credit analyst. She was promoted to a senior credit analyst in 2022 and credit analyst manager for the east region the following year. Villeda holds a BBA degree from the University of Texas–Tyler.

Established in 1958, Texas Bank and Trust operates 21 branches in East Texas and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
