Corpus Christi-based American Bank has hired Rick Tatum to serve as senior relationship manager in San Antonio. He will office at the bank’s Concord Plaza branch. Making the announcement was Byron Bexley, vice chairman for American Bank’s San Antonio market.
Tatum joins American Bank with nearly 40 years of banking experience, most recently serving as commercial relationship manager at American Momentum Bank (formerly Security Bank) in San Antonio. Prior to that, he served in various senior- and executive-level roles at other financial institutions in San Antonio, including Ozona Bank, First Community Bank and First National Bank. Earlier in his career, Tatum served as chief financial officer for multiple small businesses in the technology sector.
Tatum holds an accounting degree from the University of Texas–Austin. He is active in the community, serving on the board of the Alamo Kiwanis Club. In addition, he is a member of the Clark Texas Football Club and San Antonio Quarterback Club.
“We are at a pivotal point in delivering on our growth strategy with our recent expansion in the San Antonio area,” says Donette Stubblefield, chief banking executive/commercial and wealth. “Rick’s background as an advisor and leader in commercial banking will be a tremendous asset to our clients and complements the team we already have in place to serve San Antonio.”
