Drew Thurman has been hired by Arlington-based Susser Bank to serve as vice president/relationship manager. He will specialize in commercial banking services that support businesses of all sizes in their acquisitions, expansions and financing endeavors, collaborating closely with Texas entrepreneurs to achieve their financial goals.
With seven years of experience, prior to joining Susser Bank, Thurman was a relationship manager at Frost Bank. He also previously served as a credit analyst at Bank of Texas.
Thurman earned a BBA degree in finance and accounting from Texas Tech University. In addition, he served in the Texas Army National Guard for six years. He is engaged in his local community, volunteering as a baseball coach and umpire at Oak Hill Youth Sports Association, serving as a mentor for the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University and on the board of the nonprofit organization Pop-Up Birthday. Thurman is a member of the Financial Advisors Society of Texas Tech University.
Thurman won first place in the Risk Management Association’s 2019 Business Writing Competition. He also received academic and leadership honors while serving in the Texas Army National Guard.
