Paris-based Lamar National Bank has announced the hiring of veteran banker Mark Stroud as executive vice president/chief accounting officer. He began his banking career in West Texas where his father and brother also served as community bankers. From 2005 to 2022, he served as chief financial officer at Classic Bank in Cameron.
“Mark’s passion for community/civic involvement has been the bedrock of his success as a community banker,” says Greg Wilson, CEO and vice chairman. “This aligns perfectly with our values.”
Established in 1981, Lamar National Bank, a $375 million community bank, has locations in Paris, Reno, Frisco, Celina, Northlake and Bryan/College Station. It will open its newest location in Anna next month.
