Smart Joins PlainsCapital Bank as Senior Commercial Loan Officer in Fort Worth

November 14, 2024

Travis SmartDallas-based PlainsCapital Bank recently announced that Travis Smart has joined its Fort Worth lending team as senior vice president/senior commercial loan officer. He will be based at the bank’s downtown Fort Worth location on Houston St.

Smart brings more than 12 years of experience in commercial banking. Before joining PlainsCapital Bank, he served as vice president/commercial banker at Trinity Bank for more than five years. Prior to that, he spent nearly seven years at Frost Bank holding various commercial lending roles, including associate relationship manager, relationship banking officer and assistant vice president/commercial banker.

Smart graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting.

“Travis has built a solid career in commercial banking, particularly in the Dallas/Fort Worth market,” says Mark Warren, chair of the Fort Worth region. “His dedication to helping clients succeed, focus on personal and responsive service and ability to build strong relationships make him a great fit for our team.”

Established in 1955, PlainsCapital Bank
operates 55 Texas branches.
