Schauer Hired as Executive Administrative Officer at Security National Bank

September 4, 2020

Alena SchauerAlena Schauer has joined Omaha, Nebraska-based Security National Bank as executive administrative officer for the bank’s office in Dallas. She brings to the team an established background in commercial lending and executive administrative support, and will oversee all Texas administrative and operational efforts.

Prior to joining Security National Bank, Schauer was vice president/executive administrator for the Dallas president and Dallas community bank president at Veritex Community Bank. She helped manage the Dallas/Fort Worth market of more than $8 billion in assets and served on several internal strategy teams to help implement new processes and programs bank-wide. Additionally, she has served in loan operations, credit functions and deposit/retail roles over her 11-year tenure in the banking industry.

Schauer holds her BBA degree from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. She is involved with several nonprofit organizations in the Dallas area, including 100 Women of Lake Highlands, Women in Business and Mommies in Need.

Established in 1964, Security National Bank operates 15 branches in Nebraska, as well as its first Texas location, which opened in Dallas’ The Union in June.
